Officer Structure includes:

• Chairperson

• Chairperson-Elect

• Treasurer

• Secretary

• Executive Director

• Past-Chairperson

This group also forms the Executive Committee which is initially charged with the operation of the association.

Recommended Criteria for Board Members:

1. Demonstrated passion and commitment to the concept of health risk management or at the very least a macro appreciation of the need to change healthcare systems to better management of chronic disease and to promote health management.

2. Demonstrated a track record of leadership in the healthcare sector.

3. Significant potential to make major contributions to how the new association can rapidly become a true “change agent” concerning how chronic disease/healthcare policy is determined.

4. There should be an understanding and commitment by Board members that the “founding” Board members are critical to the success of the new association and will therefore each demonstrate a willingness to provide significant support to the organisation.

5. Board members should bring different skillsets to the organisation, i.e., financial, marketing, clinical, organisational.
